I paused to draw a map, it's a rough map but since no one will ever see it, I don't care. I want to make sure I get everything straight before moving forward, which I expect to do this weekend.

Meanwhile, I have decided NaNoWriMo this year will be again Thorkettle, a prequel with the name of The Mark of Zaar. No idea what that means but it sounds cool.

I discovered this in my documents folder and decided to try to finish it. It's about a human assassin in a fantasy world. I remember writing it and stopping for some reason. Re-reading it last night reminded me why. I just couldn't get past a certain part. I think I know a way past it now.

The basic premise is this: Thomas, the "hero" has been hired to track down a high ranking official in the Empire who has fled with a quantity of soon to be mature imperial bonds. If the bonds aren't returned, the Empire will collapse into financial ruin.

Thomas has tracked the fugitive official to Crypttown, a seedy little seaport to the west of the Empire.

Thomas is trying to get away from an especially chatty local.
